What is a HBB?
A home business (or "home-based-business" or "HBB") is a small business that operates from the business owner's home office. In addition to location, home businesses are usually defined by having a very small number of employees, usually all immediate family of the business owner, in which case it is also a family business. There are many advantages to this approach, but from a technology perspective, some unique issues as well.
Specific Challenges
With all the cost-savings associated with basing your business from home, it is no surprise how many startups begin this way. You have one set of technology: from computer, to phone, to the internet. These serve both your business and personal needs. The challenge comes in when personal use can put the business performance, security, and effectiveness at risk.

From our own startup experiences plus managing businesses that support 'personal' guest networks, we've honed our techniques. We can help you keep your company humming along while still keeping your family's Netflix, Apple TV and gaming systems safely running in their own walled environment.

We also specialize in being able to set usage boundaries and limit age-appropriate content for non-adults, even when there are a number of different age groups in the home. By creating a secure, segmented network, everyone can have the access they need without the normal pitfalls of a home-based-business.
